2026 NHS Grant Applications are NOW OPEN

The National Horse Show is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 NHS Grant Program ahead of the 143rd National Horse Show, taking place October 21 – November 1, 2026, at Tryon International in Mill Spring, North Carolina.

This year marks an exciting milestone for the program. For the first time ever, thanks to the continued success and growth of the NHS Endowment, the National Horse Show will offer 24 grants to qualified competitors demonstrating financial need.

The NHS Grant Program, supported by the NHS Endowment, was created to assist riders who require financial support in order to attend and compete at the National Horse Show. Each grant recipient will receive assistance covering a stall, entry fees, and a stipend to help offset additional show-related expenses.

Applications are now open and close on September 25, 2026.

Applicants must be qualified to compete in one of the eligible championships listed below. For more information and to apply, please click the button below.

The program is open to qualified riders competing in the:

“As we celebrate the first year of this exciting initiative, we are incredibly proud to provide meaningful support that helps make competing at the National Horse Show (NHS) more accessible for deserving exhibitors. We recognize the dedication, hard work, and financial commitment required to reach this level of competition, and we hope this program helps ease some of that burden while allowing talented horse-and-rider combinations to pursue their goals.”

“We extend our sincere gratitude to the generous donors and supporters whose commitment made this program possible. Their investment in the future of our sport ensures that more riders may have the opportunity to experience the tradition and excellence of the NHS. The committee looks forward to watching this program grow in the years ahead and continuing to support competitors as they pursue their dreams at one of our sport’s most historic championships.”
