Remember Romance & Taylor Matalon
Taylor Matalon and Remember Romance, now in their second year together, capped off an incredible indoor season at the National Horse Show. Having been champion or reserve at every indoor show this year, Matalon said this was the show she had been most looking forward to—her final show with Rex.
“My plan for today was to stay consistent, jump the jumps, try to hold the same pace, and just be in the middle,” Matalon shared. “Today’s course was definitely my favorite with the two bending lines. That was fun.”
“He’s pretty perfect. He knows his job very well,” she said of Remember Romance. “Winning on him was really special because it’s our last show together, and this was the final chance to make him champion or reserve at every indoor course this year. It was really special to get one last one.”
After the show and the conclusion of Matalon’s season, Rex will return to California, marking a bittersweet end to an unforgettable partnership.
