REGIONAL & AREA CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY REMINDER

Lexington, Ky – August 22, 2023 – This year anyone who is qualified and wishes to compete in their Regional class may enter using the host competition entry blank. No additional paperwork needs to be filed with the National Horse Show unless a rider is wishing to change their region.

Riders may choose to show at either their own home region or any other region. If a rider chooses to compete in a regional other than
that of their home region, then a change of region form must be submitted to the NHS office by August 31, 2023.

CLICK HERE FOR THE REGIONAL CHANGE FORM

Reminder: Competing in the Regionals is completely optional for those riders who have achieved the point requirement of their home point state. Those riders are qualified to move directly to the finals. Those riders may compete in the Regionals if they wish, but it is not a requirement. Riders who earn half the number of points needed for their home point state are qualified to compete in their Regional class. The top three placing riders in each regional will be extended an invitation to compete in the Maclay Finals, if they are not otherwise qualified.

Any rider and trainer who are NHS members may compete in the Hamel Foundation and the Taylor Harris Insurance Services Area Championships. No further qualification is needed. Riders who compete in the Hamel Area Championship may also compete in the Maclay Regionals if qualified.
