As the National Horse Show and its staff continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kentucky Horse Park and the National Horse Show Board of Directors are developing comprehensive safety protocols with the United States Equestrian Federation to protect all horse show participants and staff throughout the duration of the event. All COVID protocol will strictly follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC, WHO and USEF. In an effort to decrease the hands-on interaction between exhibitors and staff members, the National Horse Show is utilizing an online entry system. Additional measures being developed will include automated temperature checks for everyone entering the show grounds, less than 50% total stabling capacity and a security team for zero tolerance mask monitoring.

“It is with great excitement that I look forward to the 137th National Horse show at the Kentucky Horse Park. Our Board has worked very closely with the leadership of the Horse Park to insure the safest conditions for the show,” remarked Bill Weeks, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “The teamwork between the two groups has been great. We are very appreciative of the confidence our sponsors have shown in the event. We have strong support from our returning sponsors. Our show will most likely look different this year in order to provide the most secure conditions for the exhibitors in these challenging times. The Board is committed to putting on the best possible show with safety being our number one priority.”

“We are working in earnest to provide a safe environment for The National Horse Show at Kentucky Horse Park,” added Jennifer Burger, president of the National Horse Show. “We believe our procedures on show grounds exceed CDC, USEF, and Kentucky guidelines. Unfortunately, no spectators will be allowed on show grounds. Please plan travel to and from the show grounds for junior exhibitors accordingly. We hope exhibitors’ friends and family will enjoy watching the free live feed throughout the show.”
