August 21, 2026 — The National Horse Show is reminding eligible competitors that applications remain open for the 2026 NHS Grant Program ahead of the 143rd National Horse Show.
For the first time in the program’s history, the NHS will award 24 grants to qualified competitors demonstrating financial need. The expanded number of grants has been made possible through the continued growth and success of the NHS Endowment and reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to helping more riders experience the National Horse Show.
The NHS Grant Program, supported by the NHS Endowment, provides financial assistance to riders who may otherwise face barriers to attending and competing at the National Horse Show. Each grant recipient will receive assistance covering a stall, entry fees, and a stipend to help offset additional show-related expenses.
Applications are open and must be submitted by September 25, 2026.
Applicants must be qualified to compete in one of the program’s eligible championships. Riders interested in receiving support are encouraged to submit their applications ahead of the deadline.
