The NHS Adult Equitation Championship sponsored by THIS is a premier national final for adult amateur riders, featuring three age divisions: 18–21, 22–35, and 36 & Over. As one of the only top-level equitation championships in the United States dedicated exclusively to adult competitors, riders qualify by competing in THIS Adult Medal classes at USEF-sanctioned horse shows throughout the year, earning points toward an invitation to the Championship at the National Horse Show. Held annually, the Championship features a first round over fences, a flat phase, a second round over fences, and additional testing as needed, providing adult riders the opportunity to compete on a national stage and showcase the precision, accuracy, and horsemanship that define the country’s leading equitation finals.
